festival ambassadors applications now open
Our Festival Ambassadors are an essential part of our team and we love people who are passionate about supporting arts and culture on the Gold Coast. We welcome people of all backgrounds and abilities to apply to be a part our Ambassador team. In 2022, Placemakers* will be delivering two festivals:
BIG CITY LIGHTS* | 7 – 10 July 2022
BLEACH* | 11 – 21 August 2022
Ambassador applications are currently open for both festivals. Anyone over 18 can apply, and you can apply for one or both festivals.
Applications close on 10 June 2022.
THE ROLE
We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic individuals who enjoying interacting with others. While we appreciate and welcome those who have experience in customer service and event roles, no experience is necessary in order to be a great Ambassador!
The role is predominately customer service focused with some assistance & general help and support for set up and pack down of various elements of the festival site where required.
The main duties of a Festival Ambassador include:
Some lifting and other walking tasks may be a part of the role including standing for periods of time. If these types of tasks are inaccessible for you, please note this on your application. Our festival has a COVID Safe Plan & will be operating under this guideline. We would encourage people to apply who are happy to be in close proximity to the general public and very conscious of working with the guidelines we will need to operate in this year. We will provide PPE where required.
