Supporting our local artists to #CreateAustraliasFuture, in April 2020 Placemakers* Gold Coast invited 10 extraordinary artists with connections to the Gold Coast to respond to this hashtag with an artwork, which we shared on social media.
Artists included Justene Williams, Judy Watson, Glennys Briggs, Dion Parker, Michael Philp, Courtenay McCue (CRT), Loretta Lizzio, Maryann Talia Pau, Claudio Kirac and The Field.
This is one of our responses to the devastating impact Covid-19 continues to have on the arts industry across the continent and is a way for us to advocate, champion and celebrate the profound insights artists contribute to our future.
